Birth & Parenthood Preparation
There is no shortage of information about preparing for birth and parenthood — yet so little of it speaks to the beautifully unique priorities of each couple. This isn’t about memorizing the “right” way to do it. It’s about building the muscle memory of trust — in your body, and in your partnership — so you can access the tools and resources you need along your journey into parenthood.
What This Offering Looks Like
Group series (4–8 weeks) or private classes, built around you and your partner as you prepare for birth and the early days of parenthood together. Private sessions can also be shaped as a shorter, immersive crash course, or built à la carte around the specific topics most relevant to you.
Together we move through the real terrain of this transition: the mechanics of labor and hands-on birth support, building your birth team, preparing your home and your people for postpartum, breastfeeding and infant feeding realities, and — just as importantly — your partnership itself. Expect eye-gazing over lists, embodiment over memorization, and honest conversation over easy answers.
Group classes are co-facilitated with my husband, alongside two dear friends who are therapists specializing in couples work, life transitions, and somatic experiencing — bringing depth, safety, and real lived perspective into every session.
What This Is Really About
This isn’t about piling more information into your brain — it’s about creating space to slow down, get out of your head, and trust what you already know. Rather than handing you one more method to memorize, my intention is to guide you back to your innate wisdom and the love and care that exists between you.
We’ll talk about the things that are easy to avoid: how your relationship will be tested, what to do when things don’t go as planned, how to repair rather than chase perfection. Because parenthood doesn’t ask you to have all the answers — it asks you to stay connected to yourself, to each other, and to what matters most, even — especially — when it feels impossible to do so.
You’ll leave feeling closer to yourself and your partner, and resourced with tools that live in your body — accessed through practice, instead of information.
Not all conversations can be had ahead of time — but there are common threads woven through nearly every couple’s path to parenthood. Our time together starts those conversations, and equips you to keep going deeper on your own. This is about being proactive, not reactive: engaging with the questions and themes I wish every couple stepping into parenthood had the chance to sit with.
